Bourne Tractors, based on the Spalding road to the east of Bourne, have been John Deere dealers for over 30 years, also selling Gregoire Besson cultivation equipment, Vaderstad seeding and tillage machines, KRM fertiliser spreaders and associated machines and Multidrive tractor units for sprayer/spreader self propelled units. Used machinery is actively bought and sold, some is reconditioned for retail sale, other equipment is sold as is. Export of tractors is a speciality, with many satisfied customers around the world providing frequent repeat orders. A very well lit and fully equipped workshop (see photo below) includes a dynamometer capable of testing the largest tractors and combine harvester engines. John Deere SERVICE ADVISER diagnostic tool is available, also a full range of special tools, hydraulic press and welding equipment. Air conditioning service is carried out on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
A very well balanced team of staff have
seen sales grow over the last five years , which has developed a considerable presence in the local area and grown an extensive
export business particularly to Norway, Denmark, France, Ireland and
Canada. The
Team Heading the team is David Kreutzberger, who has been with the company for 29 years, and has been managing Director and shareholder for the last 10 of these. David joined as an apprentice, was promoted to sales and then to Service Manager, a position he held from 1982 to 1987. When Bourne Tractors was acquired by John Doubleday in 1987, David was appointed as Depot Manager and Salesman. He now specialises in second hand equipment, with a particular interest in the increasing export market. He is now backed up in sales by John Northen. John is Southern Area Sales Manager.& Colin Hurt is Northern Area Sales Manager . Colin has worked at Bourne Tractors for seventeen years in the workshop recently promoted to sales he brings a wealth of technical experience to his new brief which is to develop new Vaderstad business along side existing JD & Gregoire Besson sales Service is managed by Adam Forster, who has been with the company for nine years. His team consists of Service Engineer Alan Youngs who has recently joined the company , Alan Franklin, who comes from a farming family in Zimbabwe, John Fretwell is the newest workshop employee and started work at Lodge Farm Workshop , after working in the automotive industry for several years he is enjoying the challenge, and is well received by the farming customers . Stores Manager is Darren Pearson, who first joined Bourne Tractors after leaving college in 1982 as a service apprentice. He left to have four years as a mechanic in the RAF and re-joined the company in 1992 Tracy Spencer is Financial Administrator, who trained as a bookkeeper and has had a long vehicle dealership related background.
